We studied a Korean Question and Answer site (QA site), Naver, and tried to identify its QA network characteristics. Over 150,000 users and their inputs (> 250,000) under two different main categories (computer and entertainment) were collected for the study. Several major themes in the study were:

The response time of the answers in different type of categories

The engagement level of users in different type of categories

The comparison of network characteristic to existing study

The incentive structure and user behaviors of the site users

We successfully identified the network characteristics and tested our hypotheses. Please review the report for detail

Responsibilities:

My responsibilities included conducting literature reviews, brainstorming the research questions, coding the web crawler and parser, generating MySQL database and performed data analysis
