Background:

Good Old Lower East Side (GOLES) is an organization that serves over 150 tenant associations in New York City. On their website, GOLES summarizes their mission in the following concise paragraph:"As a neighborhood housing and preservation organization, GOLES is dedicated to tenants' rights, homelessness prevention and community revitalization."

We received the request about developing a communication channel among the case workers, tenants and landlords

We conducted stakeholder interviews to gather the business requirements for the project. Based on the requirements, we created a functionality matrix and user requirements. Working with the our clients, we performed iterative design and developed the website.

The Results:

A dramatic change of project goal and business requirements happened during the process. However, we managed to deliver a tenant complaint system, which help case workers and tenant association to track apartment condition, tenant leases, and landlord relationship.
